PART ONE

Purchasing on Amazon is always a hit-or- miss ( especially if you live on a Caribbean Island, where shipping takes one to two weeks, and returns are a hassle !) . That being said, this doesn't stop me from scrolling for hours, and reading endless product reviews. This was particularly true the months before my wedding. I was determined to diy as much as possible and to save doing it ( i.e not spending hundreds of dollars on 'bridal' hair accessories).
The following are "the fruits of my labour", the hidden gems I used on my wedding day.
Please note, all purchases from amazon ( or online stores in general ) were made months in advance, knowing there would be more fails than successes. I only ordered one of each item, then re-ordered more once I was sure the quality was great.
HAIR PINS
I got these in gold (for my bridesmaids) and rose gold ( for myself) as imaged. They were exactly as pictured, and sturdy enough to be used two years later at my best friend's wedding !
STATIONERY
DIY Wedding Invites - 100 % recommend. These were thick card stock, customisable and relatively easy to put together ( with patience ). I watched this youtube video to help with printing directions. The hardest part was tying the knot, the ribbon provided was a little short, so it takes some time to get it. I bought multiple boxes to make all 150 of my invitations ( pre pandemic, before cutting the number to 25 ) , with a few extras for mistakes. The kits come with an invitation card, and two smaller cards for rsvp and directions. These can be edited to whatever best suits your needs. No regrets.

Pearl White with Pearl Foil Border
Linen Envelopes- The Wedding Invites come with standard white/ cream envelopes. I wanted to personalise mine a bit more so I got these emerald green linen envelopes to match my wedding colours ( pay attention to the sizing, I reordered the wrong size for one of my batches of invites ). Envelopes were addressed in gold handwriting.
Thank You Notes- These were clean and simple. I wasn't a fan of the stickers to close the envelopes ( and I did not use them ) but everything else was perfect. Don't be like me... purchase these EARLY, prior to the wedding so you're not sitting at home with them years later.
I hope you love these as much as I did. Tag me @littledetails.jm on instagram if you try them !
